Taming, To Tame A shifter book one,

By A.K. Koonce.

It is my second book from Koonce, and I like her writing style and the way she makes the worlds come alive.

It is quick and dirty. Not really dirty, spicy and hot is a better way to describe it. I like the idea behind this story and read it with much joy. It was on my TBR list for a quite a while, I´m happy that I picked it up.

This book tells you about a woman who got away from her demons, only to be found by the men he sent to find her. The funny part about it all is that they don’t know that, they aren’t aware that she is the one they are looking for.

Which gives this book the fun twist, like I already said it is fast and spicy, just the way I like it. Still it has a good story that keeps you hooked into the book and looking forward to start boo two.

How A.K. Koonce described the characters is great. I love the FMC, she is fun, has an attitude and loves herself a little more then other MC do. The men are brooding, sexy, smart and funny. I like how they are so different from each other, makes them fun to read.

Want a quick read, something fun, grab this book here and start.
A.K. Koonce also wrote An Assassin´s Death, I really liked that one to. I haven’t reviewed it here, I had a holiday in Bali when I read it.

Have a nice read,

Variant Lost

variant lostVariant Lost, The Evelyn Maynard Trilogy.

Book one.

Kaydence Snow.

This book is good. I loved the emotions that coursed through me when I read it. I had tears in my eyes, was laughing when something funny happened and I love how she pieced this whole world together.

This is a book I certainly recommend you should read. You have it all, from a strong FMC to, really nice friends and then the brooding men, protective men and sweet and perfect men. I loved how she wrote them, made them come alive and gave me something to look forward too. Book two.

The book tells you a story about a girl who loses everything, she is alone and doesn’t know what to do. She is accepted into a school for Variants, even when she is a human. And that is when everything starts, she learns about her past, finds a family and friends and everything seems okay. Until!

Yeah, go read the book. Not going to tell you more, pick up this rollercoaster of emotions and amazing written book.

The Wolf of Destruction, a dark reign

wolf of destructionThe Wolf of Destruction, a dark reign book one.
Written by Savannah Rose.

Going to do things a little different this time. If you want to read  what this book is about, check it out here.

Zombies, you know those guys who are dead but still walking around. They give me the creeps and nightmares. I can honestly say, I’m not a big fan of them and normally don’t pick up a book with them in it. Only this book was different.

In this book you find Shifters, Zombies and Humans in a dystopian world. And to be honest, this was great. I love the way the author builds this world. How we humans made the shifters and also made the zombies. Yeah, go humans, we are really terrible in reading signs…

What I liked about this book was that the female main character is human. Not some powerful shifter, no just human. And that the man in her life are shifters, they are the kind and the humans are kin. She has her own harem of shifter man, who support her and help her. But they don’t rule the land. It is all to keep a balance, and after the world falling to pieces they found out that this was the way to rule. With a human queen on top.Read More »

Upheaval, Rise of The Iliri Book Eight

UpheavalUpheaval, Rise of the Iliri Book Eight.

Written by the amazing Auryn Hadley.

This book was amazing and it shows so much more of the characters. I love how she switch between almost all of them;how they all tell a part of the story, giving you a bigger view of the whole picture. This book is all about Merriton, her past and how she fights to overcome that past.

To be honest I expected a little more drama in it. A little more confrontation, still I don’t miss it. I liked that this book showed more of the rest, more of her pack. And that it still showed her that she is Iliri and not a god, like some bad guy thinks he is.

The world building is always amazing in Auryn books, and she didn’t disappoint. I missed a little more sexy times in this one, but that is fine also. I think it is an important book in the whole story of Sal, the book shows her that there is more to life then fighting and winning. It is an important part of her journey.Read More »

Ezri’s Scales, chapter three

Read chapter one here, and two here before you start this amazing chapter.

Chapter Three

“Welcome by the Animal Funeral Services.” A sweet young woman greets us when we entered the glass doors of the building. She stands up behind her counter.

“You have an appointment?”

“Yes, nine a.m,” Dom answered for me, I didn’t think I could say anything today.

“We’re here with Bunny.” Dom pointed at the shoebox was holding. I pressed the box closer to my body.

“Oh, you lost your bunny. I had a rabbit once,” the woman behind the desks starts.

“Nope, it is a lizard. I don’t do rabbits.” I said, glaring at her. How did she dare compare Bunny with a bunny!

“O, I’m sorry. My name is Barbara, if you follow me. I’ll show you the urns we have.” She walked around the counter toward a door at her left.

The room was filled with displays full of urns, in different colors, sizes, shapes and even some made of glass.

I started to look around, holding the shoebox even closer to my body, not wanting to part with him. I walked with Dom towards the first row of urns.

“This one is nice.” Dom showed me a purple round one. Shaking my head, I walked further.

“Or this one.” Dom said, holding up a black one with spikes. “Bunny can be spiky when he wants too.” She tried to joke.

Again, I shake my head, not smiling at all. I walked around while I looked at the different urns—none of them fit Bunny’s personality. I was almost back at the door when my eye caught a wooden box. It has gold strips on the top and dark wood oiled to perfection.

“This one.” I whispered.

“What?” Dom asked from the other corner of the room.

“This one. He needs this one,” I said louder.

“Okay,” Barbara answered. She picked up the box and walked towards the door. “I’ll prepare the box, if you ladies would go towards the ceremony room. It is the other door in the hall. You can say your goodbyes there and we’ll cremate him.” She walked out of the door and we followed. I walked behind Dom, while we entered the other room.
